Languages

A student who speaks several languages increases his opportunities in the job market, whether in his or her own country or in any other country in which he wishes to develop personally, academically or professionally and manages to function, not only in academic but social contexts.

Instituto La Paz is recognized as one of the top bilingual schools in Mexico.   Our students from 2nd grade up are certified by the University of Cambridge with international recognition.

We are the only institution at secondary level where students can sit the CAE certification from Cambridge.

From sixth grade, French is taught allowing our high school students to take the DELF A1 and A2 certification.

We have a fully bilingual system in Kindergarten and Primary, whilst in Secondary the English language program is intensive with 100% more hours compared to the official program.

Acquiring an additional language enriches personal growth and facilitates international understanding. Hence our commitment to provide our students with the necessary tools to achieve the language skills that allow them to develop fully. In our times, speaking only one foreign language is not enough so from 6th Grade Primary, French is taught.

Our English program integrates the role and notion of the English language through various contexts (Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, etc.), while developing skills such as problem solving, collaborative learning and decision-making.

We have staff certified by the University of Cambridge in teaching the English Language.

Throughout Primary, our students are certified by the University of Cambridge with international recognition, within their allocated examinations:

  1. STARTERS
  2. MOVERS
  3. KET (Key English Test)
  4. FCE (First Certificate in English)
  5. CAE (Cambridge English Advanced)

Our 3rd grade students sit the DELF A1 and A2 Certification.

French is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, bringing together 60 States and French-speaking governments. It is the most studied foreign language after English and the ninth most widely spoken language in the world. French is the third most widely used language on the Internet ahead of Spanish. Currently learning French and English is an advantage that expands possibilities in the international labour market.

If we go beyond the statistics that already alone give us an overview of the importance of studying this language, French is present in culture, in education and in international relations. In addition, if you speak French, it is more rewarding to visit some French-speaking regions and discover the sights and sounds, thanks to the use of language and leading to interaction on world views of the inhabitants of those places. Africa, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Monaco, the Seychelles and France are some of the many countries we can visit and practice our language skills. Students who dominate French can receive scholarships from the French government to study in all disciplines, and get an internationally recognized diploma. It should not be forgotten that French is one of the official languages in the UN, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, the International Olympic Committee, the International Red Cross and in several international legal bodies.
